Mais albumas informações sobre o novo álbum do Robin, que será lançado em breve. Como sabemos, levará o nome da rua da casa em que a família morava na infância dos irmãos - uma das casas, na verdade.

A MODEST Douglas semi is set to be immortalised in the rock 'n' roll hall of
fame.
Robin Gibb has named his forthcoming solo album 50 St Catherine's Drive, the
address where his family was living when he and his twin brother Maurice
were born in 1949.

In an interview with a UK national newspaper, he said he recently went to
view the property but admitted he couldn't bring himself to take a look
inside.

He said: 'I was nervous about seeing it again. I wanted to keep those
memories intact. I didn't want to spoil them.'

Robin, 58, who has a £1.65 million home in Ramsey Road, Knocksharry, said
the old house, which overlooks Ballakermeen High School seemed so small, 'as
though it had shrunk'.

'The old school building opposite was still there. That's my earliest memory
standing in my cot at night looking out of the window,' he added.

The multimillionaire singer-songwriter claimed that when the Gibb family
were living at St Catherine's Drive, they were so poor they could afford to
furnish one floor only.

Robin, who with his brothers went on to have 50 Top 10 hits worldwide,
recalled those early years of poverty in the Island and subsequently in
Manchester before the family emigrated to Australia.

'We didn't think we were poor then. We only knew we were poor later,' he is
reported to have said.

But the newspaper's description of the old home being a two-up, two-down
terrace is wide of the mark.

Accounts assistant Kerry Moffitt and her fireman fiancé Keith Moore, both 47
have lived at St Catherine's Drive for the past 18 months and are busy
renovating the property.

Kerry said: 'It's a three-bedroom semi with a lot of space. We are doing up
the house at the moment and it's a bit of a mess at the front so I'm not
surprised he didn't want to take a look inside!'

Kerry found out that she lived in the Bee Gee's former home when a workmate
suggested looking up the Jane Crookall maternity unit on the Internet and
found Robin and Maurice Gibb's birth certificate showing 50 St Catherine's
Drive as their family's home address.

But she had no idea that the house was to be immortalised as an album title.

She said: 'The woman who lived here before did mention something about the
Bee Gees living here and then one of the girls at work suggested I look up
the Jane Crookall on the Internet and we found the birth certificate which
shows my address.'

If Robin Gibb changes his mind and decides to take a look around his old
home, he might be surprised by what he finds.

In the front upstairs bedroom, where he once saw the old school from his cot
a giant six feet long green chameleon has been painted on the ceiling by
the son of the previous owner. The artwork is, however, unlikely to survive
Kerry's home make-over.

'We use the room now for my four-year-old granddaughter Ellie when she stays
over.

'It's a nice friendly house with a lot of space. I've never really thought about it being a famous house but we should really do something like put the Bee Gees' framed birth certificate on the wall!'
